Ingredients:
Toor dhal – 1 cup
Method:
Toor dhal – 1 cup
Bengal gram dhal – 1 cup
Urad dhal – 1 cup
Dhaniya/coriander seeds – 3 1/4 cup
Red Chillies – 5 cup
Pepper corns – ¾ cup
Jeera – ¾ cup
Fenugreek seeds – 2 tbsp
Tumeric pieces - 3 Nos
Asafoetida – 1 tbsp
Curry leaves – a handful
Method:
- Dry roast all the ingredients one by one separately.
- Allow to cool and grind it in mill to get a fine powder.
- Then allow it to cool to room temperature and store in airtight container.
- Authentic sambar powder is ready.
